Over the years, I worked in various places and searched for my place on earth. Finally, after a few years of ‘normal work’, I thought about my own company. I was a bit horrified by the fact that so many new companies in Poland are failing. According to research, only [if I remember correctly] 10% survive 5 years and 1% survive 10 years.
Bureaucracy, taxes, fees, ZUS and problems with tax offices, unclear tax law make business in our beloved country a difficult undertaking.
Everyone gets into trouble with it sooner or later. It ‘got to me’ when, at the tax office, a gentleman looked at the monitor, then at me, and said, astonishingly, ‘You’re paying too much tax’. That is to say, as I understood it, it’s wrong that I have profits and contribute to the upkeep of the officials. It’s a very frustrating situation where the offices instead of supporting entrepreneurial people are their enemy. And success is automatically suspect.
The only thing we can do, in my opinion, is to be… even more successful – in spite of them all!
But that’s not what I wanted to talk about, but how YOU can protect yourself from difficulties. My way to an indestructible business is to use ‘invisible’ sales techniques, i.e. techniques that your competitors will not be able to copy easily because they will not be aware of their existence.
For a dozen years, I collected sales knowledge and tested it. I looked at what worked and what others were doing. I have worked for many companies, including market giants, and I know what works and what does not and why. In many I have contributed to their successes.
Today, I can point to dozens of techniques (about 80) that produce REAL sales increases. They make your business much, much simpler. Revenues and profits are stable and the future is more certain.
During my work as strategy director at Wirtualna Polska SA, the Shop’s share of the Polish internet market increased from 10 to 20%.
I increased in the 2nd year of my company’s existence the turnover by 346% and profits by 579% using only one of the sales development techniques and not the strongest one [I do not count profits from other activities outside the company].
The article from my inspiration made it to the front page of Puls Biznesu and became a ‘cover story’ and my client was mentioned in it several times, as the only expert in the industry, in a week I ‘entered’ TVP2 to Panorama, to TVN with the topic. I gave interviews on CNBC, wrote for Rzeczpospolita, Gazeta Giełdy Parkiet, Forbes and several minor publications.
In the online shop where I worked I achieved 45% of the annual turnover from the best-selling book – in 2 weeks, my ebook became the publisher’s bestseller and in the first year earned me over 20,000 and over 65,000 in total (I only worked on it for a month),
I achieved over 70% success rate in winning bid competitions in the corporate market.
As a consultant and partner in an international consulting firm, I carried out projects for major corporate clients. As part of IIR projects (at the time the world’s largest management training organisation), worked with staff from Philips, Microsoft, BNP Paribas Bank, Hewlett-Packard, IBM, Pekao Financial Services, Avon Corporation, Lexis Nexis, UPC, Masterfoods, DUNLOP GOODYEAR, TU Allians, among others.
In independent consulting and educational projects, I have worked with Ekademia, SII, Tickmill, Saxo Bank S/A, among others.
At a corporate conference my panel was chosen by the attendees as number 1 out of 30 others prepared by leading Polish and international advisory firms, 80% of the conference attendees came to me – and I know exactly how to repeat this at every conference, it’s no coincidence.
I am the co-author and author of service and sales standards for many leading Polish companies, including Philips DAP Polska, Onninen Polska, Koncern Energetyczny Energa, I have worked for banks, telecommunication companies.
